Fever is about a 16 year old girl in Philadelphia in 1793. Everyone around her is getting the yellow fever. The sickness is even in her home, a coffee house, with her mother throwing up blood all over the floor. Finally her mother tells her to leave, along with her Grandpa. They end up getting dumped on the side of the road because the girl's Grandpa is coughing a lot. They have to survive in the heat of the day, but suddenly the girl passes out. Will she survive?

I loved this book because of the thoughts and the fear at every turn.

I would recommend this book to middle and high schoolers who like emotion.
