Review by Julia Haynes.
This book is the beginning of my most favorite book series, which is called Warriors. A house cat named Rusty has always wanted to enter the forest behind his home, and he feels that now is the time. He has heard the stories about the wild cats living in the forest, but he doesn't believe them until he is attacked by a wild cat named Graypaw. Two older cats have come with Graypaw, and they have the names of Bluestar and Lionheart. Bluestar asks Rusty if he would like to join their Clan, ThunderClan. Now Rusty has to decide between his life as a house cat or the life of a Clan warrior in the forest. I love this book, and I would recommend it for middle school kids. It includes violence that younger children may not understand. Also, if you like this book, there are about six other Warriors series that you can read. It is a fiction and fantasy book.

It is about a cat that goes to the forest. There are four clans. I like the book a lot because it has a lot of adventure. A person who likes cats and adventure would like this book.
