Review by Anna Kapustay.
This book is when Conner and Alex Bailey have to stop a French army, the Grande Armée, from taking over the Land of Stories, a fairytale land. I love this book so much! This series is my favorite in the whole world! I love it because I would do anything to meet fairytale characters and I feel like I am right there with them. But before you read this, YOU NEED TO READ THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES, The Wishing Spell and the Enchantress Returns. Read the fourth, Beyond the Kingdom, and fifth, An Author's Odyssey, too. I would recommend this book to people who know about fairytales and like them who are in 4th grade and up. There is some killing and dying and a small bit of cursing.

The Land of Stories : A Grimm Warning is the third installment in The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer. But before you read A Grimm Warning, you need to read the first two books. This book takes up where the second one left off. Conner Bailey has been stuck in the real world while his sister is in the fantasy world. When Conner takes a trip to Germany for the revealing of the Brothers Grimm untold stories, he finds out that things may not be all that well. He gathers up a group of friends to help stop the problem, only to find that this may be his greatest foe yet.
I had read the previous books when I decided to pick this one up, and boy was it a good decision. The action isn't lacking and the plot is very strong. This book is a new take on your typical beat the bad guy and everyone lives happily ever after. In fact some of the most "oh my gosh" moments I've had in my years of reading came from this book. While this is a spectacular book, there are some flaws that I will mention. A character in the book named Mother Goose is just a plot device character that in my opinion shouldn't be in the book. There are also some dull and slow areas in the book. Other than the flaws I mentioned, it was a pretty spectacular book. That is why The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning gets four stars.
